This 1997 Pierce Saber Fire Truck is equipped with a 500-gallon polypropylene water tank, 1,250-gpm pump and a Class A foam fire suppression system. This engine can carry up to 5 Firefighters. All emergency equipment, ladders and over 2,000 feet of hose are totally enclosed in cabinets.
A 1993 Pierce Arrow Tele-Squirt, Quint 3 responds with four Firefighters to residential and commercial fire emergencies. The 65-foot aerial device is hydraulically operated and can deliver over 1,000 gallons of water per minute. A 500-gallon water tank, suppression equipment, and 1,250-gpm pump makes this apparatus highly versatile.
Designed as a special rescue unit, Squad 3 carries equipment including cold water rescue suits, personal flotation devices as well as all necessary rigging and ropes. This 1999 vehicle, built by American Rescue on an International 4700 chassis is also equipped with Holmatro extrication tools powered by a 20k AMPS hydraulic generator. Squad 3 also carries a complete complement of hand tools for close quarter extrication. Normal staffing on this unit is 5 personnel.
This apparatus was put into service in the spring of 2009. The unit serves as a mobile command center and for movement of personnel. Utility 3 will also serve as a traffic control unit protecting firefighters onscene.
